As homeschoolers, we are all about a hands-on approach to learning! The MHEA Expo gives us the opportunity to get our hands on the material to touch it, read it, make it, work it, do it, or watch it! Every curriculum we choose is an investment in our child's future, so it's important to know what we are investing in.
But the MHEA Educational Resources Expo is so much more than just a place to purchase your student's curriculum! It's also a unique time to develop and strengthen your skill as an educator. Discovering new tools and methods to help build a love of learning in your child is an important part of each Expo. The workshops are designed to meet practical and specific needs homeschooling families encounter every day. Whether you need help for a struggling learner or you are the one struggling to get dinner on the table - there's something for everyone at the Expo!
One of my favorite parts about the Expo is the wonderful opportunity to meet the authors and publishers of some of our favorite books and curriculum. I hope you take advantage of this valuable time to meet many of them. They are coming to share their passion with your family. How awesome to meet and chat with Linda Hobar, author of The Mystery of History, and ask a question about the Middle Ages! Are you intimidated by science? Stop by Holy Cow Science and let Cheryl Sommerfield help you choose experiments based on your child's interest and ability. Talk with the exhibitors. Ask them the questions you need answered!
Thank you for your participation in last year's Expo. Because you chose to support the exhibitors with your purchases, many favorites are returning along with several new exhibitors. As plans are finalized, we will continue to update the listings of exhibitors and workshop schedules on-line.
See you at the Expo!
